Native Fish Society and The Salmonfly Project are conducting a crucial aquatic insect and habitat monitoring program on the Lower Deschutes River, and we’re looking for volunteers to assist from October 14th to 25th!

About the Project

This project aims to:

Identify the current status and recent trends of aquatic insect populations on the lower Deschutes River; and,
Evaluate the best methods for surveying insects on large rivers like the Deschutes.
Ultimately, the goal of the project is to help local managers and stakeholders identify at-risk insects and potential threats to be mitigated.

How can you help?

Volunteers are needed from Oct 14 – 25th to help the Salmonfly Project and Native Fish Society staff perform insect and habitat surveys on the lower Deschutes River.
